statement
I repeatedly find myself surrounded by concepts such as time and memory and am interested in the “life” that a memory has, both natural and manufactured. I combine materials of differing life spans such as wood and polyester thread.
My work centers around the physical and visual presence of objects that are meant to be interacted with and I am a firm believer in seeing the artist’s hand in the objects, whether meant to be functional or decorative. The work is about an experience held by both myself and the audience.
